Specialist adult ADHD and ADHD parenting coach brimming with ideas to help you make life better!
Sometimes I've wanted to scream, "STOP!!!! I want to get off!" Because life, you know - it isn't always easy. Or fair. Especially when you're parenting a child with ADHD.
My son was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 6 and we've been on an interesting journey together, one that has involved medication, exclusion, aggression and an encounter with the police. In 2013 I wrote a book about our experience: The Boy From Hell: Life with a Child with ADHD. Of course my son wasn't really "the boy from hell" - but there were times when I felt like he's taken me to hell and back!
I trained as a life coach and NLP practitioner because I wanted to use my experience of parenting a child with ADHD to benefit other families. Using a unique combination of life coaching, NLP strategies and my own experience and knowledge of ADHD I can help you see light at the end of the tunnel.
Parenting a child with special needs can be a vicious circle - you do your best, use every tool you have but things don't go more...
Improving relationships within the family unit
Managing your child's ADHD behaviours
Managing your own emotions and stress levels
Dealing with difficult conversations
My coaching is relaxed, fun - but very effective. Because I'm a parent of an ADHD kid myself I know exactly what life is like and I understand how challenging it will be. However, I also know that doing the same things, responding in the same old ways gets you nowhere. I'll be a fresh pair of ears and eyes, able to spot recurring patterns and empower you to find new strategies - and it's all done in a conversational way.

Raising my son - who has ADHD, ODD and Aspergers - has given me a unique viewpoint on life. I've experienced so much as a result of his disability - dealing with medical practitioners, school exclusions, educational tribunals, meetings meetings and more meetings - and even an afternoon in a police station. It's this experience of dealing with ADHD at first hand that makes me the ideal person to work with other parents of kids with ADHD. I've been there, done it, worn the T-shirt - and now I want to use all my experience and knowledge to help you.
