About me

I have a passion for compassion, and I spent over 10 years experimenting and developing a successful lifestyle that works for me. Every day, I wake up with the intention to learn something new to apply towards helping others sharing similar challenges.

I am a Sustainability Engineer and I'm in touch with his feelings (GASP!). I offer a unique perspective of the world compared to most coaches you'll see. My analogies are governed by physics and science. I'm often told that I am effective at communicating complex topics, which lends well to coaching.

My obsession with maximizing value has led me to many fortunate events in my life, Thomas Jefferson once said, "the harder I work, the luckier I get"

I focus on a simplistic approach that minimizes the copious amounts of paperwork that is often provided as "coaching material". Often this stuff is nothing more than what you can google yourself.

(Relevant) credentials:
Trained and Mentored by Tony Robbins Life Coach
Collaborated with 100+ Bay Area business owners on sustainability measures

My accomplishments:
BS General Engineering
Minor: Sustainable Enthronements
Day Occupation: Suitability Engineer
Night Occupation: Life Coach (Wellness, Physical Fitness, Emotional Fitness, Mentor for aspiring Engineers)
San Francisco Bay Area resident (most expensive place in the universe)
By age 25, owner of 2 bay area homes (valued at over $1.5 million)
Lost over 35 lbs (from 200 lbs to 165 lbs, 5'10"), kept off for 3+ years, now ~10% body fat
I train for annually Spartan Races

My Conquered Addictions:
1. Pornography (10 hours/week to ZERO)
2. Video Games (from 20 hours/week to ZERO)
3. Energy Drinks (from 10/week to 1/week),
4. Simple Carbs like sugar and flour (7,000 cal/week to <500 cal/week)

My Spare time: (NERD ALERT!!!!)
When I am not helping others with their goals, I am learning more about the Internet of Things, Deep Learning (A.I.), and other technologies that can help connect the world to bring awareness to our actions. Why? Surveys and studies have long been skewed and biased due to our tendency to paint ourselves to the world brighter than we really are (think of all your "happy" friends on Facebook).
All the meta data being collected can be analyzed with algorithms that reveal our true behaviors, we can better understand ourselves, which is invaluable for maximizing efficient learning and education. Understanding what truly motivates us (because the endless pursuit of money seems overrated these days) to accomplish. I also play flamenco guitar, and work on motorcycles when I am not renovating my century old home on the island of Alameda.

My current 1 hour morning routine (start @ ~5 am)

* Warm up - take a dump, reflect on appreciations, move body around (5 min)
* Lap(s) around the block - with "ritual chanting" and breath walking "I love my life", "Everyday in every way I am getting stronger and stronger" (5-10 min)
* Make T. Ferris tea (my way) - (Oolong tea with coconut oil) I also add lime juice, Chinese 5 spice ( cinnamon, cardamom, fennel, star anise, licorice root, ginger, cloves, white pepper), honey (5 min)
* Hot tub with audio book (20 min)
* Rinse with cold shower, brush teeth and hair (10 min)
* 5 minute Journal (5 min)

My Role Models:
I share the messages of Tony Robbins (and his life coach team), Tim Ferris (and his endless catalog of expert interviewers), and JP Sears (with his comical satire that mocks societal taboo's).
Together they sum up my motivations to coach people looking to better themselves going forward and move from the past.

My connection to Tony:
First, I'm aware that Tony Robbins is the real deal and those that don't know him have a tendency to cloud his overwhelming desire to help all ASAP with greed.
His mantra (for those wanting to change themselves,) "Everyday in every way I am getting stronger & stronger"
and his intelligent interviews with world-class scientists has kept my confidence that his message is relevant to reality and less fantasy.

My Connection to Tim Ferris:
I appreciate reality physics because, during the day, I work full-time as a sustainability engineer for the largest, cleanest (0% coal, 60%+ non green house gas,) emitting utility in the united states and I am damn proud to be a part of the cutting edge, cleanest operating. Working with the fastest growing companies in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley on pushing the envelope on energy efficiency within their high rises and campuses.

I got my Engineering degree at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo (Rated #1 University for engineering undergraduate degrees on the West Coast) and minored in Sustainable Environments. I learned a great deal about what we now dub "Climate Change". It was at College that I would dub the beginning of my "Tim Ferris" phase. My good buddy (now a MS in Computer Science working for a company developing a blood monitoring phone app for diabetics) told me I could've wrote the 4-hour body back when it was released in 2010... I experimented with all kinds of diets (Vegetarian, Vegan, Weight Watchers, gluten-free, etc.) and exercise regimes (from Gregg Plitt to Charles Poliquin). I learned a great deal about my body, what works for it (doesn't work for all) and how it can go far beyond my expectations when given love and attention instead of aggression and force. I can now kiss my shins with my legs straight now and participate in Spartan Races.

My Connection to JP Sears:
The man speaks the same language I do when it comes to the irony that our society has on standards and expectations. Going into a yoga class to compete with others and show off expensive apparel, defeating the intent of the art. We lose our identity when we work so hard not to upset one another and we become sterile, lifeless zombies. Might say "Nice weather" ...with a response of "Fine! how are you?"

If you appreciate any of the qualities of my role models above, then let's connect! It means you will get maximum value out of our connection.
My passion for compassion and your desire to change your life for the better will.
