About me
I am originally from Ohio and attended the Ohio State University where I graduated with a degree in Psychology before moving to San Diego to pursue a career in education. When I arrived, I pursued my Masters in Education as well as a Teaching Credential. I have devoted my professional career to creating success in academic, psychological and behavioral education with children. With over 15 years of experience, I have worn many hats in my career. I have been a personal coach, counselor, consultant, director of a mentoring and social club program as well as a special needs teacher. I have taught students from preschool age through high school including special education and alternative education. I coach and teach adolescents, parents and professionals the behavioral management skills and positive reinforcements that I have learned along the way. I understand what it takes to successfully engage a student and give them hope that there is a path for them. My experience has enabled me to help many parents and students to open themselves and learn about creating positive pathways.

Being diagnosed with ADD in the 3rd grade, I have had the opportunity to establish a well diverse knowledge of ADD and the learning process. With the help of tutors, coaches and mentors, I have learned to educate and advocate for myself. Throughout my educational experience and career, I have had the opportunity to fully understand the services that have create support for families and students with ADD. While each of my past struggles have presented life lessons, I have found that my journey with ADD is always beginning and that my momentum must always be moving forward. I believe that humor can create positive learning experiences and believe in the foundations of positive psychology. We learn best when we are running towards our goals rather than away from the consequences.

PRIVATE COACHING
You set the agenda as we work on creating a executing your goals. We would speak each or every other week for 45 minutes at a time by phone or 60 minutes in person.

In this webinar, we will provide you with the ultimate checklist of do’s and don’t for helping your child have the best possible start on this new journey. This includes addressing important questions such as:
Will my child spend their money responsibly?
How can I get my child to talk to me about their grades and recognize when they need help?
Is it appropriate for me to contact their professors, administrators, and disabilities resources center?
How will I know if my child is being successful?
Should they reveal/declare their ADD on their college applications?
How do I prepare them for the college environment. (Classwork, Time management, Balance)
You will leave this 1 hour seminar with ideas on how to prepare your High School Student, Information on utilizing Disability services, an awareness over potential obstacles and material to research.

The struggles and obstacles I have faced have taught me to be resilient while my current focus is to master any executive functioning skills that I lack. I empathize with those that struggle and parents or students that need to learn about how ADHD impacts their life. I know from experience that coaching can create a lifelong mindset. This mindset, makes me stronger every day.
