I do not merely approach Coaching from a desire to help people – although that is definitely the core component – he approaches it with the life experience of a successful businessperson and the professional expertise of and a background in psychology. Jay sees the merits of the traditional path and the road less taken and will approach a client’s situation with an open mind and without bias. His approach will not work for everyone however and those uncomfortable with accountability and straight talk should find someone who better meets their needs. Jay uses metrics to determine progress and holds clients accountable to reaching mutually agreed upon goals. The first step is establishing a clear vision and a set of goals with clients early on in the process and immediately beginning work on achieving these goals one at a time.

I work best with those who feel stuck in a rut. Perhaps their confidence is low, they do not like their job or relationship and are looking to take a plunge and make a significant life change. In doing so we establish a mutually agreed upon set of goals and as we achieve them one-by-one true results will take shape and the life you hope to lead will be there for the taking.

After starting a successful startup business I found myself unhappy and unfulfilled. I'd always wanted to be a Mental Health Counselor but I ignored that calling and did what I thought I was supposed to; go into business like my father and every role model I've ever had. However, there came a breaking point where I knew I'd never truly be happy unless I followed my dream. I sold my stake in the company and used that money for tuition and it was the best decision I've ever made next to marrying my wife.
