Request a free consultation Contact MeMy professional journey began in 1990 at college where I studied Recreation and Leisure Services. I had always been a well rounded athlete and wanted to make sport part of my career. In 1994, I earned my Bachelor’s degree and went on to work in golf course management. After nearly a decade working in the golf industry, I married my wife in 2004 and decided to return to university to pursue a master’s degree to further my career.
In 2005 my wife was offered a career promotion that required us to move to California. At the time, we were planning to start our family and wanted to provide our children with the beneï¬ts of having one stay-at-home parent. We looked at both our careers and made a mutual decision that my wife’s career offered better stability and family-life balance. It was at this moment that my life changed forever - I would be taking on one of the greatest responsibilities that I could have (all the while not realizing it). In 2006 and 2007, my wife and I celebrated the birth of our children. At the same time, I ï¬nished my graduate studies and earned a masters degree in Management and Leadership (MML)*. My journey over the next 14 years has led me to start dad2dad fatherhood coaching in an attempt to share my experience and help support fellow stay-at-home dads.
I’ve always struggled to deï¬ne “success” in my role as a stay-at-home dad. Just like yours, my journey has been and will continue to be ï¬lled with ups and downs. Countless times I felt like I had a good grasp of the role, then at any given moment, that feeling of accomplishment came crashing down to a feeling of defeat. Learning how to manage these emotional highs and lows are the building blocks for my coaching service.
There is no right or wrong way to be a stay-at-home dad, no cookie cutter approach. For me, collaborating and aligning with my wife has always been my compass to navigate through the occasional storms of fatherhood. Additionally, I believe that it is equally important to have a well established sense of identity and inner strength. This lays the foundation for the most important lesson a stay-at-home dad needs to share with his kids - being a good role model.
My dad2dad fatherhood coaching programs are designed to meet the most important needs that we face as stay-at-home dads. We begin our work together strengthening dad “the person”, laying the foundation to empower dad “the father”. My coaching approach is to not reinvent the wheel, but to reaffirm that you already have all the resources you need. We explore various ways to channel them to creatively solve problems and help motivate you to reach your goals and fulï¬ll your purpose as a stay-at-home dad. I look forward to meeting with you and possibly partnering with you to help you become a better dad.

In simplest terms, the bedrock of coaching is a partnership in creative problem solving. In the normal course of life, people can lose self-conï¬dence and feel stuck. Ideally, you want a coach that is not going to reinvent the wheel, but rather instill hope and deliver working solutions. Most of all, you want a coach that has experience with and understands your challenges. Being a stay-at-home dad is what I do and who I am. I understand your problems and what you experience on a daily basis. I am confident that my coaching process will deliver results that will help you become a better father. The process can be summarized into three transformational phases:
Discovery: Together, we align on your goal and identify obstacles that are getting in your way. This process will broaden your perspective and open your mind to new possibilities.
Empowerment: This is where you reconnect with all of your resources, motivating you to breakthrough barriers, and see real solutions that enable you to begin to think, feel, and act differently in daily life.
Improvement: In this last phase, your new mindset is infused into everyday life. As a result you will see, hear, and feel greater confidence, motivation, and have unlimited beliefs in your future as a dad.
