For over 20 years I have helped people realize the strategies and solutions that they can choose from to make sound decisions. People who were at their lowest point in life and could not see the light at the end of the tunnel. This call to help people directed me to become a nurse. In the hospital, I took care of the person, not the patient. My patients took comfort in knowing that I cared about them as a person with feelings and concerns. I spent countless hours mentoring and coaching my patients. Many would return and thank me for pointing out the positives. It changes a lot of outcomes for my patients. The biggest coaching assignment I have ever done in life is the sessions that I have with myself. I know that vulnerable place that others have been in and remember to tell myself the very things that I have told them. It built my character, tenacity, and perseverance. I learned to live and not just exist. It is a beautiful place to be…….to live. That is what I want everyone to experience. To Live.
