Professionally, I’ve been drawn to leadership and teaching professions and consider myself a life student of the changing human experience. Over the last 20 years I’ve developed a specialised skill-set in identifying and resolving limited thinking and the behaviours that go with it (victim-thinking, hopelessness, addiction, procrastination, anxiety, boredom, anger, frustration etc.).
I know first hand what it’s like to wander off the beaten path, learn the hard way and do anything to escape my reality. By the time I was 29 I suffered from a firmly established life-threatening eating disorder, alcoholism, a serious drug addiction and a string of broken relationships. I lived and breathed the saying “once bitten, twice shy” and hid from myself and the world via many devices. I had a long “dark night of the soul” that lasted more than 10 years from my late teens to my early thirties.
My saving grace was my uninhibited curiosity with the mind and it’s hidden abilities. In my early teens, before it was cool to be a self-help apprentice, I poured myself over books by Anthony Robbins, Dale Carnegie and Alan Watts. What finally brought me out of my unconscious state was discovering Neuro Linguistic Programming and I quickly becoming qualified in what would become my way out of addiction, escapism, self-loathing, lack of direction and low self-esteem. Today I am free of all addictions, have a very healthy marriage, enjoy healthy self-expression, am physically at my best and passionate about my career.
I am an NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming – NLP Definition) trained therapist and coach who can show you how to navigate the trauma of awakening to a world that has not been completely truthful. Despite the pain and loneliness you are feeling as you awaken and navigate the illusions of the system, there is a silver lining beyond the processing of this new reality shift.
