About me

Dr. Olga-Lucia Gamboa Arana is a Cognitive Neuroscientist, ACT coach, and mindfulness teacher. She has also a specialization in stress management and another one in emotional education. She combines her skills to create personalized programs to support people’s well-being. Her coaching is primarily based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a very practical form of therapy/training that has proven to support the development of psychological flexibility and promote positive behavioral changes, both needed to achieve mental and emotional well-being. Her teachings involve mindfulness and self-compassion practices applied in daily life since these are powerful techniques known to improve subjective well-being, increase psychological health and flexibility and reduce emotional reactivity.

You will learn practical and easy-to-implement strategies that will allow you to manage your stress, deal with difficult emotions, increase your self-esteem and self-confidence and most importantly, modify those unhelpful behaviors that take you away from living a meaningful and joyful life.


Sessions can be over the phone, online, or in person with a 1-hour duration. 


 


There are packages of 6 sessions available.


 

ONLINE COACHING

Short courses or group coaching

I offer seminars and workshops on “Neuroscience and mental health”,  “Emotional Education”, “Emotional Intelligence”, “Healthy Life-Style Practices” and “Applied Mindfulness and Self-Compassion” to groups, schools, and companies interested in increasing the psychological and general well-being of their members.


They consist of a short but fun “psychoeducation” section and easy-to-learn techniques to develop the necessary skills needed to address the particular topic at hand (i.e. reduce stress levels, regulate difficult emotions and do what matters (values-based actions).


All of them contain useful strategies to promote mental, emotional, and general well-being.
