Request a free consultation Contact MeI am a habit coach and mindfulness teacher.
I studied the psychology of motivation and applied it in work with my clients. They have different goals and different habits they wish to change. Sometimes they gained enough energy to persevere, and sometimes they gave up their ideas as they turned out to be out of sync with what was really important. Quite often, it's a battle between urgent projects and truly valid ones.
Mindfulness can help in many ways. It can help clarify the options, and it can help deal with distractions. The funny thing is, mindfulness's biggest benefits can sometimes bring surface on their own, without any agenda.
I have been a part of a corporate world for some time, and I had an opportunity to witness all the psychological pain present when working under challenging conditions: anxiety, stress, and even more stress, plus a myriad of other conditions. It turns out many of us suffer, and in order to truly flourish, we need to face those difficulties and work on them. Sometimes all it takes is an attitude of accepting what we cannot control.
I work in a different capacity now: I provide psychological assistance for all that wish to take the first step.
I strive to build a working relationship based on mutual acceptance and authenticity. Once it is in place, there opens up a space to bypass existing rationalizations and focus on the root cause. A quote from APA summarizes the process best:
"If you are trying to improve your self-control, a psychologist can help. Psychologists are trained to help people identify problem areas and then develop an action plan for changing them."
When it comes to developing action plans, I believe I am well prepared, having done research in Psychology of Motivation for a few years now. As a result, Habit Coaching has evolved to be one of my significant fields of expertise.
I completed following learning programs:
Master in Psychology from Warsaw University of Humanities,
Coaching Course with accreditation from European Mentoring and Coaching Council,
A yearly course in Psychological Assistance,
An eight weeks study in Motivational Interviewing,
A Habit Coach certification on Coach.me.
A postgraduate study in Mindfulness and Compasion,
A 3 years' study in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy run by Oxford Mindfulness Centre.
I like to listen. I believe good things can come to those who speak and are heard. Sometimes it's enough.
And sometimes I may get curious about different things, for example, how is it possible that a person says that good health is important and does very little about it. And if we come to some better understanding, the obvious question would be how to proceed and persevere.
Life is a quest with many questions serving as signposts.
I'm an MBA graduate with EMCC coaching certification.
I run MBCT courses - Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy.
We target thinking. No, not useful problem-solving thinking. We target the other mind wondering, thinking that can so often leave us in a mood we'd rather not be.
It is eight meeting course - each meeting lasts around 2 hours, and there is some exciting work between the meetings.
I'm an MBCT teacher in the certification process with Oxford Mindfulness Centre.
I have been working as a coach for the last five years.
Before that, I have spent twenty years in sales in various IT corporations.
