Generally, we mistakenly associate “spirituality” to religion. Instead, let us reframe the connotation of the spiritual as an aspect of being beyond the tangible realm of our existence. Enlightenment also has many definitions but is predominantly linked to cognitive understanding. You can attain an “enlightened mind” through consistent and intentional practice of advanced spiritual methods. These principles can include yoga, meditation, tarot, telepathic awakening etc. But this enlightenment doesn’t mean you’re spiritually awake or aware. It means you are participating in metaphysical activity through your mind or astral body, or ego. Spiritual awakening, then, is an awakening of a dimension of reality beyond the confines of the ego, or the mind. The ego is our exclusive sense of self or “I.” This awakening occurs when the ego becomes silent allowing the Higher Self to arise within. Simply, Spirituality is aligning to your Soul. The ego, or what the Taoists call the lower soul, believes it’s in charge. This ego is our sense of self or “I.” When you say things like: •“I am [your name].” •“I have a [job, house, car, mother, father, spouse, child, headache].” •“I think [insert a thought].” •“I like [movies, football, exercise]” That’s the ego. You believe YOU are the accumulation of all your experiences, thoughts, beliefs. The ego, or mind, is possessive because it experiences itself as separate from everything else. We tend to identify exclusively with the ego. All cultures across the world agree that we are made up of Body, Mind and Soul. This is something we all feel to be true. It is an inner ‘knowing;’ that doesn’t really need a lot of proof to support it for most people. We accept it. The astral body or mind, is the anchor between your Soul and your physical Body. The astral body has layers and layers of social conditioning surrounding it. From the moment we are born, we are taught good and bad, right and wrong, what it means to be successful and unsuccessful etc. It also carries all our experiences – the ones that made us happy, the ones that made us sad and the ones that hurt and changed or shaped us. The mind lives in duality, due to the perspective of separation from all that is. This means that it only understands ‘opposites’: •Good and bad •Right and wrong •Here and there •Him and her •Past and future This is important to recognise, because a huge part of spiritualism is practising being present, living in the now. Singularity. All the traditional spiritual leaders advise to practice presence for inner peace and calm. It is all about getting out of your thoughts/mind, and becoming the ‘observer’ of these thoughts. Recognising that they are there, but not BECOMING them. You just let them go. The mind struggles to be present, because the ‘present’ has no opposite. It understands past and future, but cannot focus on the present. It takes practice of catching yourself in amongst all the thinking and noise to switch to the present moment; to your surroundings, the sounds you hear, the tapping of your keyboard at work etc When chopping vegetables for dinner, focus on what you are doing, rather than thinking about your to-do list, or something that happened 2 years ago! We all do this! But aligning to your Soul means to become the observer and bring awareness to the present moment. Here’s What Happens During Spiritual Awakening As the process of spiritual awakening unfolds, the ego begins to sublimate to the Soul. You align your Self, your thinking, to your Soul. You realise that you are not your thoughts, that the Mind is very separate to your Soul and generally functions as a result of life-time conditioning. In some instances, an awakening can begin through a catalyst (an event or a person), but it doesn’t usually happen in a single “moment of awakening.” While we can have “peak experiences” that open us up to Self-transcendent reality, these experiences tend to be fleeting. In reality, there are stages of spiritual growth, and these permanent stages develop over time. It is important, therefore, to understand what the Soul truly is. Our Spiritual Awakening course will give you a thorough understanding of what your Soul is, and practical easy exercises to help you align to your Soul. This is definitely a process, but one which we will guide and support you through. https://www.lifecoachhub.com/img/uploads/coachings/thumbs/3943_1579609209.png

Description:

One of the reasons there’s so much misunderstanding around the topic of spiritual awakening is because we tend to overlook the simplicity of it and confuse it with the amount of “stuff” we need to be doing to experience an awakening.

The ego is our exclusive sense of self or “I.”

This awakening occurs when the ego becomes silent allowing the Higher Self to arise within. Simply, Spirituality is aligning to your Soul.

The ego, or what the Taoists call the lower soul, believes it’s in charge.

This ego is our sense of self or “I.” When you say things like:
•“I am [your name].”

•“I have a [job, house, car, mother, father, spouse, child, headache].”

•“I think [insert a thought].”

•“I like [movies, football, exercise]”

That’s the ego.

This means that it only understands ‘opposites’:
•Good and bad

•Right and wrong

•Here and there

•Him and her

•Past and future

This is important to recognise, because a huge part of spiritualism is practising being present, living in the now.
