This course involves weekly one-on-one 60 minute coaching calls covering topic exercises and breakthrough coaching on any blocks we uncover. See topics below:
TOPIC 1 – DE-STRESSING ABOUT NOT HAVING ENOUGH TIME TO GET IT ALL DONE
Approaching your day (and life) with the thought that you will never
have enough time to get everything done that needs to get done is toxic to your energy level.
TOPIC 2 – DECLUTTERING YOUR OFFICE AND
Clutter distracts energy! Physical clutter as well as mental clutter destroys energy. And one can be a clue to the other.
TOPIC 3 – ELIMINATING TIME (AND ENERGY) WASTERS AND DEALING WITH THE VOICE OF PERFECTION
Wasting time (or a perception of wasting time) drains energy. Time is
precious, and most people want to use their time for the highest purpose
possible. A time waster can be external, such as a phone interruption, or
internal such as frustration or anger over something not getting done according to expectations. Even worrying about wasting time wastes time.
TOPIC 4 – BECOMING PROFICIENT IN MANAGING PROJECTS AND TASKS ENERGETIC PERSPECTIVE
Effective leaders understand the importance of the strategic and tactical
aspects of time management. A strategic perspective is focusing on the big picture and the larger projects that will advance the goals of the organization and the individual over the mid- and long-term. The tactical approach to time management is focusing on the individual tasks that are to be completed within the day, week, and even the hour. Energetically, it is important to be aware of and able to work in both dimensions in order to succeed.
TOPIC 5 – RECOGNIZING YOUR NONNEGOTIABLES AND STAYING
COMMITTED TO THEM IN THE FACE OF THE NEVER ENDING TASK LIST
Working and organizing your time according to your priorities is a high
energy approach to getting things done and creating time.
TOPIC 6 – DEALING WITH PROCRASTINATION
Procrastination is toxic to energy and to people’s ability to move themselves and others forward. Procrastination is not about delaying action or a decision when it is in the best interest of the organization, individual, or leader. Procrastination in this module is about “putting off until tomorrow, what can be done today.”
TOPIC 7 – DELEGATING EFFECTIVELY
Successful leaders delegate effectively, as doing so frees up their energy
and keeps their energy high. Effective delegation also increases the energy of others as it offers them an opportunity to contribute, potentially learn new skills, and help make the organization run smoothly.
TOPIC 8 – DEVELOPING YOUR CUSTOMIZED SYSTEMS FOR TIME MANAGEMENT
Having the right tools to manage time helps keep energy high. Ineffective
tools create frustration, divert energy, and waste time. Together we will identify what tools will work best for you.
TOPIC 9 – SAYING “NO” AND SETTING BOUNDARIES
Boundaries are healthy tools for successful leaders. Boundaries clearly
define who you are and what you are about. They highlight priorities, values, and life’s/work’s “non-negotiables.” They are the edges of what works for you and what does not and they help you navigate and sail through the course of your work and your life. Boundaries keep energy high.
TOPIC 10 – LOOKING AT THE BIG PICTURE TO ACHIEVE YOUR DESIRED WORK/LIFE BALANCE
Balance from a time management perspective means that the right amount of time is spent in each important aspect of a person’s life. Work/life balance means that the time and energy devoted to work and life outside of work is balanced in a way that a person feels energetic, fulfilled, satisfied, and successful.
TOPIC 11 – IDENTIFYING THE TRIGGERS THAT PULL YOU OFF COURSE AND SETTING THE SUPPORT AND ACCOUNTABILITY TO KEEP YOU ON TRACK
Being pulled off course or distracted from a mission depletes and diffuses
energy. Energy is scattered and is not as powerfully anabolic as it could be if it were focused. Being mindful of what triggers pull people off track can help them recover and then reset/rebuild their energy and focus.
TOPIC 12 – CREATING YOUR CLEAR VISION FOR TODAY AND THE FUTURE
When leaders lose focus on the big picture, their energy wanes. To re-energize themselves and/or to keep their energy high, successful leaders focus on what is most important to accomplish over the short, mid, and long term. They keep their eye on their most important goals and priorities and link this vision to how they organize and spend their time on a day-to-day basis. https://www.lifecoachhub.com/img/uploads/courses/thumbs/340_1470860429.jpg https://www.lifecoachhub.com/coaching-shop/course/shop-time-management-coaching/340-time-management-balance-coaching-program
