It’s easy for health to take a back seat as you work to grow your business. You stop going to the gym (who has time?) and eat lunch and maybe even dinner at your desk every day, and soon enough, you’re feeling bloated and out of shape and just plain tired. It’s hard to grow a thriving business when you don’t even have the energy to get out of bed in the morning.

Ministry leaders and service providers are, by our very nature, people pleasers and rescuers. Sometimes this, unfortunately, backfires, leading us to make poor ministry/business decisions. One of the first safeguards against emotional burnout lies in setting firm boundaries.
But first, let’s take a look at why boundaries are necessary and what they look like.
