An old boss of mine introduced me to PTC or present, time, conscience.
It taught me that when I was completely aware of my surroundings and really focused on the task at hand, I was able to work smarter, not harder. PTC is a tool I use every moment of my life and I have found that I make fewer errors and accomplish more with my time.
It is easy to get distracted in this day and age. With smartphones constantly buzzing and people posting and tweeting on social media, I think most of us have come down with FOMO. (Fear of Missing Out) FOMO causes us to believe that we need to constantly check our smartphones and social media, just in case something big is happening. And if it is, we don’t want to be that person who was the last to know! Because of this mindset, we tend to be less focused and not as dedicated as we should be at any given task. Driving, unfortunately, is a great example of a task we should really apply PTC towards.
Incorporating a tool, like PTC, into your life will cure you of FOMO and will bring harmony back into everyday tasks. The great thing about being more efficient is that it not only benefits you, but the people around you, as well. Everyone from co-workers to family members will appreciate your new found focus and dedication to the tasks at hand.
