Working for someone else can at times be confusing or even frightening and stressful. It doesn't have to be that way, as long as people have faith in their leaders.
Leadership is an essential ingredient in an office, and leaders need to be seen to be part of them team when the chips are down. Being able to trust a leader to put in the hard work when it's necessary, might seem obvious but many appointed leaders neglect this responsibility.
Ask yourself:What can you do to help improve your staff's trust in you?

April 15, 2013As a division manager, I've 21 people under me and have been faced with the trials and tribulations that come with the job. Hmmmm, what have I done to improve my staff's trust in me? Well, keeping promises is a big one. One thing I've learned throughout my years as a manager is that you should never make promises you can't keep. No matter how good your reasons are for breaking that promise, employees will hold you to it. Trust is vital in an organization's success so keep your promises people!
