Get the Most Out of your Work Day

Much work related stress is due to the feeling of not being able to fit your work into the allotted time. However you will be surprised to know how much time is lost through routine distractions and bad habits.

There are three easy ways to improve your work efficiency:

  1. Put your mobile phone on silent and avoid the temptation to check Facebook or Twitter.
  2. Make sure you get enough sleep during the week.
  3. Lastly, take short, regular breaks from your work to stretch your legs and rest your eyes, rather than just taking set lunch breaks.

    Getting enough sleep is very important. Being groggy at work is one of the myriad of ways to do a bad job. I also agree that light exercise throughout the workday is important. I've been practicing this for the past 30 years and taking short breaks to move around keeps you alert.
