Tips to staying hydrated

Here are a few things that help you stay hydrated:

  • Continue to eat five small meals such as fruits and vegetables for optimal health.
  • You should keep water on hand at all times, this will help you to always sip whenever and wherever.
  • I suggest having 2 glasses of water before each meals, this really helps with curving how much you eat.
  • After ever restroom break, you should drink a glass of water just to rehydrate and also to make sure the kidneys are in good condition.
If you are having problems with drinking water or just to stay hydrated, set an alarm on your phone to remind you of when to drink water or consume fruits and vegetables that are loaded with water, minerals and vitamins. There is another way that you can make sure that you’re getting enough fluids daily is by tracking and monitoring your intake.
  • You could add slices of lemon or lime to your water to add flavor which makes the water so much more refreshing, and at the same time, it will boost your immune system without adding any extra calories.
  • It’s best to drink at frequent intervals throughout the day, this could be when you’re awake, at each meals and even in between meals.
If you are very active you require more water to keep your body cool, statistics shows that after an hour of exercise you can lose up to 1 quart of water, before, during and after you exercise you should consume water to prevent dehydration.
By the time you starting to feel thirsty your body is already in the state of dehydration, so you should keep your water close by. This will also remind you to drink your water and make sure you are staying hydrated.
They do have some fashionable bottles that you can purchase and keep your water in, you could also add some lemons or limes just to give your water some flavors.

Water and aging

Water has an important impact on the aging process. Because of the dehydration, inactivity, and trauma that occurs from our daily lives, the connective tissues of our muscles and joints tend to wither up over time.

This is why we should try to make life much easier by drinking sufficient water. This usually goes a long way of preventing/reducing the aging process by improving our muscle tissues and flexibility.

Drinking enough water and staying hydrated will help to maintain metabolic functions, including carrying nutrients to ones cells and eliminating waste and regulates temperatures.

We lose water through several ways:

  • Sweat
  • Urine
  • Bowel movement
  • Breathing

Hence, we must replenish what’s lost. Especially in the summer, it tends to get really hot and humid. Drink, drink, drink, up your water.
