There is something to be said about the power of positive thinking, and that follows for getting healthy and fit. Happier people are found to generally be healthier, but there are things you can do beyond this to get benefits.

  • Use affirmations and tell yourself that you are getting healthier, fitter, or slimmer.
  • Think about why you want to be healthy. Do you want to fit into a new outfit or do you want to live longer to see your kids grow up?
  • Don’t think negative things about your health or physical appearance. Keep positive.

"Happier people are found to generally be healthier". I totally agree with this sentiment as it applies to being healthy both mentally and physically. When you are happy (mentally healthy), you tend to want to move around and do things you love (physically healthy). It's a win-win situation to both your body and mind when you make the decision to think positively!
