When you're trying to boost your self-esteem, you want to associate with people who can make you feel good about yourself.
Try and surround yourself with positive, active, pleasant people who encourage you to feel good about yourself. On the flip side try and reduce contact with those who shower scorn on you or are generally negative. As you develop a support structure that values you for who you are, you'll feel better about being you and much, much happier.
Ask yourself: Who can you rely on to help?

April 16, 2013Surrounding yourself with positive people is very important, especially when you're on the road to recovery (be it from a bad breakup, losing your job, trying to be healthier etc). No matter what you are trying to achieve in life, you're not going to get anywhere if you surround yourself with toxic energy. When it comes to me, I know that I can rely on my family for help. They have always been there for me through thick and thin and I know I can count on them for anything and everything!
