With alcohol and caffeine, stick to the rule of one.  

That means one cup of coffee, and one glass of wine, at least during the week.  Too much of the former could lead to jittery nerves and a lack of concentration, and too much of the latter.. well, let’s just say your liver, kidneys, and stomach won’t be all that happy with you.  

Stick with the rule of one and avoid any number of headaches.

    I suppose sticking to 'one' should only apply to vices. One cigarette. One drink. One cup of java. It shouldn't apply to the good things in life! Imagine how silly it would be--- One smile. One compliment. One minute of focus. :)
