Every day that I wake up is another day that I get to help people solve a problem or help them overcome an obstacle so that they can move on to the next phase of their lives.
Some people want to believe that I can't coach them because I've never walked in their shoes. The fact is that having walked in someone's shoes is not a requirement of coaching. As a matter of fact, in some regards, it's better that I hadn't walked in their shoes because then I always come to the session in a mode of total objectivity. Which means that our entire session is not biased by history
My entire business is based on two things:
1) Being able to listen intently to what clients are saying so that I hear what they don't hear themselves saying AND
2) The belief that every day presents another opportunity for you to hit the reset button on your life.
Those are my guiding principles that work for me but more importantly, for my clients.
I help my client achieve a sense of control and empowerment over their lives that they sometimes don't realize that they have.
With longer term sessions, clients actually learn to to think in a new way and are able to recall and apply the takeaways from our sessions as needed.
They learn to pinpoint moments where they transition from unstoppable to stagnant.
They also walkaway with knowing the difference between obstacles and intentional distraction. Obstacles are designed to be overcome. Intentional distractions are designed to bring you to a halt.
But most importantly they understand that every day presents another opportunity to hit the reset button in their lives and with that, they understand that they have an infinite number of times to achieve what they set you to achieve.
The majority of my coaching is one on one via telephone coaching sessions.
The remainder of my sessions are divided between group sessions, speaking engagements and seminars.
My style of coaching is based on the needs of the clients. But the single most important factor in any successful coaching style is to be able to listen intently to the client with zero distractions in order to fully hear and support the clients needs and decisions.
