About me
As the founder of Myers Life Coaching, my goal is to empower my clients to find their passion, reignite their spark and freshen their outlook on life. In my youth I faced some challenges. I grew up with financial problems and a father who was not active in my life.
In spite of the adversity, my mom gave me her whole-hearted blessing. My mother instilled in me the belief that I always had choices. Based upon what my mother taught me, I was able to pursue a career that I truly appreciate. I love my work and I love my life today!
I just share these snippets from my past so that you know I am not coaching from an ivory tower and that I understand the pain of not being where you want to be. I also want you to know that I‘m not saying you should have to go through pain to gain, just that you can gain, rather than lose, when hit by life’s curve balls. I received a degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and completed my Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Doctorate degree in Business Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
These degrees awarded me the ability to apply clinical psychology‘s traditional knowledge to people working in business settings. It’s about maximizing the prime asset of any organization, the employee! My goal is to pursue my biggest passions: the observation of life through another person’s perspective, and the practice of questioning life’s boundaries and assumptions. It is my life’s mission to invest in motivating others and I look forward to working with you in the future.

As your life coach we use the power of commitment to enable you to achieve beneficial and measurable results in all areas of your life. Our process involves building awareness of the context, desires, and options that surround a challenge. We then help you decide upon a course of action. Once you have decided upon a course of action, we can then collaborate on detailing the steps involved. Life coaching is a holistic process that has the power to balance and harmonize your life.
HOW I LIKE TO COACH
Some friends have negative outlooks and are energy drains. Others can be a wonderful part of your support system. In today’s fast paced, electronic media driven world with all its distractions, marvelous as many of them are, it’s not always easy to listen attentively. Also when you’re close to someone, there are many relationship dynamics and personal agendas that intercept the type of objective a life coach provides. A life coach is also trained in listening skills as well as a process of asking questions at the right times and providing feedback.

Myers Life Coaching is a different process from counseling. Mental health professionals tend to emphasize the past and work on problems and deep-seated issues. When the emphasis is on the now or the future, the counselor will often flat out tell you what you should do. This can be very frustrating when you aren’t having psychological issues, but you just want someone to listen, help you define what you want (not tell you what you want) and then support you in getting there.

PRIVATE COACHING
The four main areas I coach people in are: anger management, career/business growth, relationship challenges, and personal development. My scheduling is flexible, so I guarantee an appointment within a week of the initial call. The first session is free. I use a combination of proven, objective assessment tools and no-nonsense dialogues and exercises to walk with you as you bring about the change you wish to see in your life.
I also consult for organizations. People seek connection. People influence profit. People are the driving force behind all that is right --- and wrong within an organization. I would welcome the opportunity to explore how I can help you take the next steps to getting there.
ONLINE COACHING
I meet with clients face to face, over the phone and via skype.My scheduling is flexible, so I guarantee an appointment within a week of the initial call. The first session is free.
Short courses or group coaching
The groups are small, between , and are designed to be interactive and to create a experiential learning environment in defined topic areas. Group Coaching/ team-building occurs over the telephone and is convenient and affordable. The call will then begin by covering the specific topics for the session. Participants are urged to come prepared with a specific goal in mind for the program and be willing to take action. Discussion of those actions, coaching through artful questioning, guiding and supporting will be an integral part of the Group Coaching process.
