My passion lays in career and transition coaching.
My name is Savia Arbuckle, I am 39 years old, Graduated in Psychology in Brazil where I worked as a Psychologist for 2 1/2 years before I moved to New Zealand 15 years ago.
In New Zealand, I worked for the Department of Corrections for nearly 6 years, working directly with motivational interviewing, life coaching, motivational coaching, focus on behavioural change.
In the past 2 years I have opened a business called E-CV Limited in New Zealand, working with Job Seekers, career coaching, CVs and have now developed an online training for job seekers.
Virtual coaching is where I am heading.
I am married and a mother of one beautiful boy.
I love sports, positive people, anything relating to moving forward and gently at the same time.

Life coaching:
Identifying your goals and barriers. Develop strategies where you feel in control, yet ready to accept you can't control everything.
HOW I LIKE TO COACH
Always starting with free consultation when myself and the client clear up expectations and direction of coaching sessions.
Ideally, we will be working with virtual coaching sessions where I will be following up with some activities /or not. It depends on the client. However, I will be upfront if I see I am not a good fit for you. I praise myself for contributing to ones development and this is what we will be doing.
I have good listening skills, from my psychology and motivational interviewing background, therefore I will be able to understand where you come from and give you a clear idea on coaching sessions.

PROFESSIONAL AND LIFE EXPERIENCE
My first job was as a teacher for a large public school in Brasil when I was still at University at the age of 17 to 20. Working with children in poverty it was an eye opening for me and increased my vision to support others.
Once I graduated I opened a Recruitment business, participated in large redundancy projects, including direct dismissal of 2000 government agency employees. Again, working closely with this group after the dismissal as a psychologist and owner of the recruitment company contracted to this project.
Moved to New Zealand on my own. Went from having a stable and professional career life to no job. I went through 6 years of struggling until I picked myself up and start re-structuring my career and professional life.
I worked for 6 years as a Probation Officer, after that, working directly with offenders and focusing on reintegration and rehabilitation. My listening skills, motivational interviewing, CBT, Alcohol and Drugs and Violence Propensity knowledge boosted throughout that period. It also provided me with great self-awareness.
During the past 2 1/2 years I have been focusing on coaching job seekers and those who are transitioning work.
I am now opening myself to the virtual space and have completed my first Job Searching online programme, so I can reach and add value to many others.
