I know from personal experience that many parenting and family issues are extremely difficult to understand if you haven’t lived with them yourself.
My husband and I have four grown children. In addition, we were licensed foster parents for over 20 years, caring for more than 50 children in our home during that time and adopting two of our kids through the foster care system.
This has given me the opportunity to personally work with kids with all different backgrounds, ethnicities, personalities, strengths, and challenges.
I have personally parented kids with ADHD, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, and multiple learning disabilities and behaviour issues.
I also have experience with children in all kinds of schooling situations, including homeschool, public school, alternative school, and online school.
Additionally, since two of my children are adopted (one as a preschooler and one as an older teen), we have experienced the considerations that adoption brings into a family.
Often an issue in one area of life can cause challenges in other areas. So, as a parent and family coach, I approach coaching in a wholistic way, exploring the full picture and all the contributing factors and relationship dynamics.
I love working with couples to help them through both big and small challenges to create a committed, meaningful, fun, and supportive relationship together--and help them get on the same page in their parenting to have happy homes.
And I love working with parents because I know how challenging parenting can be, and I have seen how even small shifts in parenting can make a huge difference in the lives of kids.
I also love working with teens and young adults to help them navigate all the challenges in today’s world and support them in getting off to the right start as they launch into adulthood.
I am located in Overland Park, Kansas, in the greater Kansas City area. However, I also work with clients throughout the United States and beyond by video call. Additionally, local clients have the choice of meeting with me in person or by video call, whichever works best for them!

I received my coaching certificate through Impact Academy, an International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited school and have completed additional training through Light University, the education division of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).

Having an outside perspective and authentic, reliable, caring support from a coach that has been there makes a huge difference. Whether you are having significant challenges with one of your children or are just wanting to be the best parent you can be, parent coaching can help!
I can assist you in navigating difficult behaviors and relationship dynamics, learning how to better communicate with your kids, identifying and enforcing healthy expectations and consequences, and overcoming relationship ruts and negative cycles to turn conflict into connection.
Additionally, it helps you have the support you need in your own life, so that you can be the best parent possible for your kids and have a happy, healthy home!
I offer compassionate, non-judgemental, confidential coaching to help you build strong relationships with your children, while also helping your children learn the skills that they will need to be responsible, caring, healthy, successful adults.
I offer 50-minute, one-on-one, couple, and family sessions.
I have worked with many counselors and coaches through the years. Some were very helpful, and to be honest, some were not. So, when I became a coach, I determined that I wanted to learn from those experiences to bring together the best from all of those and be the coach that I would have wanted to work with.
These are the characteristics you can expect from me as a coach—
Encouraging. My goal is that you will come away from our time together feeling refreshed and encouraged.
Client-Directed. I will listen to your goals and respect your priorities. You are the expert when it comes to your life and your family. I will listen and ask questions to understand the situation and what has and hasn’t worked for you in the past. I know that there is no one-size-fits-all formula, so I will explore with you what approach will work best for your family.
Priority-Driven. We will walk together through the process of identifying your priorities and setting goals based on those priorities. We will set goals for our sessions and strategically work toward those goals, while still including flexibility to pursue subjects that come up as you feel the need.
Faith-friendly. If you wish to integrate faith into our coaching sessions, I welcome the opportunity to explore faith-based perspectives to provide support and encouragement.
Flexible. I offer both in-person and video conferencing, so local clients even can choose which works best for them for each individual session. Unlike many coaches, I am available to work with both parents, teenagers, and young adults. So, if you would like me to meet with both you and your child, together or separately, I am happy to do that. Payment is weekly, no expensive packages and long-term commitment.
Affordable. I know coaching can be extremely valuable, so it is important to me to keep my rates low to be accessible to more people.

My sessions last 50-minutes and cost $75 for daytime, weekday sessions and $90 for sessions beginning after 5 p.m. or on weekends.
