Next Level Ministry Leadership Course What is Christian leadership? It is leadership motivated by love and given over to service. Transforming leaders are those who are able to divest themselves of their power and invest it in their followers in such a way that others are empowered, while the leaders themselves end with the greatest power of seeing themselves reproduced in others. A Christian leader is someone who is called by God to lead; He/She Leads with and through Christlike character; and demonstrates the functional competencies that permit effective leadership to take place. In order for the church to have effective leaders they must reflect the principles and values that Jesus taught His disciples. In Acts chapter one there are four primary principles that the church would build upon. These core doctrines are developed over the course of the rest of the New Testament. The structure of the church would rest upon the ascended living Lord, the power of the Holy Spirit, being a willing witness beginning at Jerusalem and spreading out to the entire world , and choosing godly leaders. Biblical Leadership is foundational to the health of the local church. This Next Level Ministry Leadership course is designed for you to take hold of the biblical principles of leadership as exhibited by Jesus and then his Apostles. This course is written as a practical guide to examining how the early Christians ministered to those around them in accordance with Jesus’ commission to “go and make disciples.” We will take a journey through much of the Acts of the Apostles and pay careful attention to what Peter, Paul and others did and said. . .how they handled the obstacles they faced. . .how they worked the miracles of Jesus everywhere they went. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. The same wisdom and anointing He imparted to the believers in the early church can be yours today. Each week you will receive via email 2 modules from the book of Acts to study in your manual. We will have regular pre-scheduled weekly ministry leadership sessions via phone or video conference.
