Hi! I’m Diana. I’m a wife, a mom to 3 awesome (but also very challenging) kids, and I’m a certified professional parent and family coach. I have a passion for helping hurting families find their way out of darkness and chaos and learn to live again. I especially love working parents whose children struggle with intense emotional and behavior challenges. It is not unusual for the children of the parents I work with to be diagnosed with things like Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), PTSD, OCD, ODD, developmental trauma, mood disorders, FASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other forms of mental illness.
I love what I do because I'm a parent of tough kids myself. I know how hard, how intense, and how lonely this journey of parenting "invisible" disabilities is. I also how hard it is to find good help and people who get it! The most important thing I know, however, is that there is a way out of all the ugly and destructive contention, stress, and chaos that so often comes with this more...
My mission and purpose is to help parents (even the exhausted ones) change the negative dynamics of their home, restore order, and promote true healing for all members of the family. Those who are willing to do the work will find courage, direction, and power to transform their lives. They will clearly know what they can and must do to help their families heal. They will also have the tools, motivation, support, and passion to do it.
Some of my primary goals are to help you regain your footing, reclaim control of your life and home, move out of the trenches of chaos, and enjoy a greater sense of peace and satisfaction in your life. Coaching is far more than chitchat or sharing a few good ideas. It is a powerful, focused process of change and growth designed to promote lasting healing and peace.Throughout the coaching process, we work together to untangle the mess that parenting intense children has left in your life and find solutions to the complex challenges you are facing. more ...
Using proven coaching techniques, sprinkled with a little dash of “me”, a healthy dose of reality, and a heaping cup of laughter, I help my clients turn their raw and painful situations into pure gold. I will support you in your journey to find your own footings again, regain control of your home, and learn new tools and skills. I will listen to both what you say and what you don’t say. I will challenge you to dig deep and let go of whatever is holding you back and keeping you stuck. I will also help you hold tightly to that which is worth keeping, and help you find positive, effective ways of connecting with even the most difficult kids. Most importantly, I will help you find peace, joy, and healing in the process.
My style is warm, friendly, open, honest, and real. I am here to walk your journey with you. We will work together to help you find what you need to fill your emotional bucket. Together we will reignite your spark and passion, help create safety, security, and structure more ...
One-on-one coaching allows us to focus entirely on your specific situation and family and find solutions that work for you! You are in the driver’s seat and get to decide where we go and what we work on.
Thanks to technology, I work with families from all over the world. All sessions are conducted via phone or internet video conference.
Using online video conferencing, we can meet face to face, even if there are thousands of miles between us. This allows us to make a strong connect with each other as we work together from our own familiar spaces.
There are no long commutes, office waiting rooms, and no special equipment is required. As long as you've got a camera enabled device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc), a quiet space, and a good WiFi connection, we're good to go!
I regularly offer live webinar classes and educational presentations on a variety of parenting, relationship, and self-care topics.
Group coaching is offered in small groups of 3-5 people. The process is similar to private coaching except our discussions are based on pre-assigned topics and there are more people involved. We meet online with the same small group of people once per week for approximately 50 minutes. You may form your own group or join an open registration group.
Much of what I know, I've learned from the school of hard knocks! I am a parent of two children with intense, and often "invisible" special needs. We have been through many rough waters, but we have found our way to serenity...and we've kept our family together in the process.
I have been an active blogger for years. I have run a nationwide non-profit that provided respite retreats for worn out moms of tough kids. I have taught many classes and informally coached many, many families over the years. I have helped them learn solid therapeutic parenting skills, ways to connect with children who don't want to be loved, and helped them understand their children's behavior from a new perspective. I'd love to help you, too!
