My story begins with my mother, Ruth. Ruth was a highly intelligent woman with a college degree. She spent her life serving the elderly with her loving heart. However, her self-image bound her life into never ending experiences of abuse, self-hate and inadequacies. When she was 12, the last words her father spoke to her were, “I’ll never speak to you again.” He died un-expectantly later that day.

When she was 18, she couldn’t find the inner strength to stay at nursing college and gave up a full scholarship because she felt she wasn’t good enough. Her self-worth led her to get pregnant out of wedlock and at age 20, she delivered a baby girl that she was forced to put up for adoption. She married my father within a year and I was the baby that “made up” for the one she couldn’t keep. That marriage didn’t last 2 years.

Her self-image led her to be attracted to an extremely abusive man who later became my step-father. She would end up spending 17 years with a man who physically, emotionally, mentally and sexually abused her. She did so because she thought him capable of change if she could just love him enough.

When she was 40, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy. Seven years later, she died from a reoccurrence of that same cancer. On her death bed, the doctors finally diagnosed her with borderline bipolar disorder.

She felt unempowered.
She felt unworthy.
She felt not good enough.


She did not realize her dreams of becoming a nurse.

Her story inspired me to take a different path.
I made the decision when I was 14yrs old that I couldn’t live with the man she chose and reached out to my father. I realized my first empowerment at that time.

I made the decision when I was 17yrs old as I graduated high school that I couldn’t live with either set of parents any longer and I entered the US Army. Completing basic training was the second time I felt empowerment.

I made the decision when I was 21yrs old to forsake the religious boundaries set by my ancestors and joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints based on the faith of a prayer and spiritual confirmation. This was the third time I felt empowerment.

This is also when my life changed directions drastically. It was through gospel teachings that I found out that I was LITERALLY a Daughter of Heavenly Father. I was a descendant of deity and I WAS worth something. I began to see the REAL me in my Father’s eyes. I began to feel empowered in my healing from sexual, physical and mental abuse I suffered when I was a child. I began to feel empowered in my self-worth. I began to feel empowered in understanding that I COULD make a difference in the lives of others.

This religious journey quickly led me to a long life of pursuing the self-help greats: Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Joe Vitale, etc. I have read and mastered over 100 personal progress books. These books were the beginning of my coaching training and I use them still on a daily basis.

All my life, as I would think about my mother, I have had a desire to empower women. It began with a desire to just help battered women and has now moved on to empowering all women everywhere.

My passion to empower women enables me to use my gift of empathy to really understand where a woman is coming from and my gift of healing, which I focus through coaching, to help her achieve whatever goals she has set for herself.

There is nothing that would please me more than to see women finally understand who they really are. Satan’s tool to destroy families is to make women feel like they are worthless and inadequate. When women have lost their power, many times the children suffer too. This leads to future generations of un-empowered women and men.
