I love my job. I feel the work that I do is important and truly helps others find meaning and connect with their best selves. My empathy, humor, creativity and passion are well used in my position and what I use to help others find ways to express their strengths. I feel lucky to do what I do and am therefore enthusiastically committed to helping people find out who they are and where they want to go.
I believe that our lives are meaningful and our gifts are given to us for the purpose of being used to not only help ourselves but others. I love my job. As a career, life and academic coach, my work with clients is a bit different from professional counseling, because we’re really focused on your current goals in life, your education or your professional career. Together, we’ll will identify barriers, (and design creative ways around those barriers!), and mark out the most efficient path toward achieving what you really want in your life.
I have more than 15 years experience coaching, teaching, advising and counseling. Colleagues and clients describe me as open, engaging, practical and warm-hearted. HOW I LIKE TO COACH
I come from a Strengths-based, Positive Psychology perspective. It is possible to accomplish your goals and create the life you want! Every person deserves to know what they are passionate about and how live a life that leads to more joy and less sorrow!
Working through struggles often is the pathway to a new and better you. Whatever you are going through, if you handle the situation properly you can use it as leverage to make your life better. I am here to help you see yourself, the role you are playing in your life and the one you could be. It's not a dress rehearsal. If you aren't getting the results you want you need to try a different approach. I will assist you understanding why you do what you do and how to make better choices. You can be happy.

I see clients weekly in my office, helping them to form and and achieve meaningful life and career goals.
ONLINE COACHING
For clients who are not in the Portland area I am able to provide e-coaching related to life and career success.
Short courses or group coaching
I offer workshops in career discovery, networking, volunteering and problem solving skills for teens, recent grads, career shifters and seniors.
Ongoing training
I am happy to work long term with clients who need a supportive presence in their lives over a transition or on an ongoing basis.
