Preparing for an interview is very important—from what you wear to the interview and what you know. Some people believe that they can wing it the interview but in reality you need to prepare yourself.

  1. Know what you are going to wear. Make sure you iron the night before so you won’t be in a hurry.
  2. Know about the company you are interviewing for, DO NOT go in blind sighted. Google the company or go directly to the company’s website and read the section ABOUT US.
  3. Know what is on your resume. Just think of it like this: your resume is the outline to your work and education story. In the interview you need to tell your story. Make sure everything you put on your resume you know because employer may ask question about a job you had 5 years ago.
  4. Know where you are going to have the interview. Make sure you drive by if you are not familiar with the area or use you GPS.
  5. Always be 10 to 15 minutes early.
  6. At the end of the interview ask for a business card so you can remember who you talked to. Also getting a business card will also give you the number and name to the person you talked to and can follow up with this person in a couple of days.

These are just a few tips you should know before going in an interview.
