Meeting a new person and unsure what to say?  When in doubt, ask questions!

Almost anyone secretly loves to talk about themselves, and giving them some questions about their lives in earnest interest is bar none the best way to indulge them.

But don’t just ask the question and phase out.  You have to listen too.  Warm, sincere interest helps a new person immediately feel comfortable around you.  Asking and listening is a one-two punch for building a meaningful connection with a person.

Lol this tip is perfect! I practice this all the time! Sometimes conversations cAn get awkward, especially when it comes to meeting and greeting new people so I combat this by asking them personal questions such as where they are from, have they discovered any new restaurants in the area and so on. It tends to bring them out of their shell and get the conversation flowing again!

I was in the PR industry, worked 14 hour days and met a ton of people. This tip is tried and true- when you don't have anything to say, ask questions! It encourages the person to engage in conversation and is a wonderful ice breaker.
