If you want to bake a cake, you can't just wish it into existance. You need to decide what you want to bake, you need find the right recipe, get the right ingredients and to follow the instructions to the letter in order to get make it.
Achieving your goals is the same, you can't just state what you want to achieve and then hope it will happen.
- When you decide on a goal make sure it is something you really want to achieve.
- Then you need to create a detailed plan listing the activities and resources you need in order to have a successful outcome.
- Prioritise and set milestones against each activity and set a start date.
- On your start date start with the first activity and then follow your plan step-by-step. This way you will be able to measure your success on the way to achieving your goal and it will give you the discipline to actually achieve a successful outcome.
