How do I set taxes?

You can easily configure the tax system in your dashboard to charge taxes as required by your local legislation. Click on Billing & Shop under the main menu and then select Catalog. Select Tax settings from the left hand column.

On a mobile, click Billing and Shop from the top dropdown. Then click Tools Menu, and you’ll see Tax settings partway down the list.

You'll have three choices.

1. You can choose not to apply tax to any products or services.
2. You can choose to apply a single tax rate to all your products and/or services. This means that any customer, regardless of their country of origin, will be charged the tax rate you select.
   • Name your tax (this will appear on your customer's invoice).
   • Set the tax rate as a percentage.
   • Check what kind of item your tax will apply to. You can check as many as apply.
   • If you want to create more than one tax, click Add additional tax and follow steps A to C above.
3. You can chose to apply a tax rate for specific countries and/or states. This means that only customers from the country or state you name will be charged the tax you create.
   • Name your tax (this will appear on your customer's invoice).
   • Select the country where the tax will be applied
   • Optional: Select the state or province where the tax will be applied. (You can leave this blank and the tax will be applied to customers from any state or province in that country.)
   • Set the tax rate as a percentage.
   • Check what kind of item your tax will apply to. You can check as many as apply.
   • If you want to create more than one tax, click Add additional tax and follow steps A to D above.
